Minnewaska State Park Engagement Session with Cassie and Mike

There is a special kind of magic that comes with outdoor, fall photo sessions. The lightly falling leaves and colors hanging from the branches create a lovely backdrop for any photo session. When Mike and Cassie reached out to me to schedule their upcoming engagement session, it was a no-brainer for where we would go. Hiking is a big part of their lives and something that they enjoy doing together, so what better place to take their engagement photos other than Minnewaska State Park in Kerhonkson, NY.

It was a beautiful fall day overlooking the lake and the waterfall. One of my favorite things to do when photographing couples is to give them prompts to make them feel more comfortable in front of the camera. One of my favorite prompts to use is “Tell your partner what you are most looking forward to on your wedding day.” It allows the couple to just be in the moment and focus on each other.

These two are getting married next fall and I cannot wait to share in their special day! Congratulations Mike and Cassie! Thank you for allowing me to capture your engagement session!
