Joanna and Alessandro's Hudson Valley Microwedding | Melinda Anita Photography, Hudson Valley Wedding Photographer

Joanna and Alessandro were married in a small ceremony at St Denis Church surrounded by their close family and friends in Hopewell Junction. I am so happy that our paths crossed and that I was able to be part of this special moment for them. Joanna and I had had talked for weeks planning out her wedding day and all of the various moving parts, but it all came together on a rainy Sunday morning in September.

I was honored to be able to capture both if their getting ready photos while they were getting ready under the same roof. We worked hard to keep them separate so as not to see each other before the ceremony. Both of their families were so welcoming and I could just feel the love between them from the start of the day.

One of my favorite moments of their wedding day was the ceremony and watching how excited their friends and family were there to celebrate with them. You could feel the closeness and the love between them!

We had plans to take pictures at a nearby garden, but we knew that with the rain we needed a backup plan, so we headed to the Poughkeepsie Train Station for a few couple’s portraits for them to have to commemorate their day. I had 30 minutes and so glad they put their trust in me to capture some beautiful portraits of the two of them. I wish both of them a lifetime of happiness! Here are some of my favorite pictures from their wedding day:
